Course Summary

This is a six hour, two-part foundation course covering the power industry. Learn how the power industry works, how transactions are made, key terminology, and deregulation issues facing the industry. This course will move the attendee through the industry components (types of generation, transmission and distribution) and the power industry players. It thoroughly encompasses the key terminology used by the industry, and a comprehensive Dictionary of Power Terms is included. The course discusses the regulatory environment in detail, giving an overview of power transactions and how the power industry manages risk.
