John N. (Skip) Trimble,
Senior Consultant, Skipping Stone
Mr. Trimble is a proven professional in developing trading and marketing organizations, processes and systems in wholesale and retail companies. Experienced in crafting and implementing comprehensive business plans, plus integrating technologies and personnel to support and carry out the objectives Mr. Trimble has structured deals, joint ventures, risk management and portfolio management for a host of successful organizations. Skilled at evaluating client needs and developing unique, innovative new products and services, he has worked for Cargill-Alliant Joint Venture in Business Development, Statoil Energy (formerly The Eastern Group), VP Asset Management & Power Marketing, Coastal Electric Services Company, as Director of Marketing and on the Pennsylvania Power & Light, Bulk Power Marketing Team and at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, in the rates department.
Mr. Trimble has published a six-article feature in “The Risk Desk” which discusses innovative products, their evaluation, implementation and value added to merchant power plants. He has won the EPRI Innovator’s Award for harnessing neural networking load-forecasting programs into real time pricing models and testified before the Maryland Public Service Commission on deregulation - 1998. He recently worked with the Pennsylvania PUC in developing evaluation models for Demand Side Response and is currently an adjunct professor at Bismarck State College – Technology Center.
Mr. Trimble holds a Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA., a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering, cum laude from Lowell University, Lowell, MA., and attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT.
